- Service Description: Camali Clinic will offer clinical staff to conduct in-person consultations whereby a clinician would visit the office and host open walk-in (or scheduled) consultation sessions for office-based employees. Similar arrangement would apply to online sessions for those in Dubai and/or Middle East region.
- Type of Service: Psychology & Counselling
- Languages: English, Arabic, French and Hindi/Urdu
- Site: Onsite or Online (via Microsoft Teams or Zoom)
- Duration and frequency: Weekly, bi-weekly or monthly depending on demand, for up to 8 hours a day. Each individual session would be of 45 – 50 minutes.

Organisations will recommend Camali Clinic to its employees who are wishing to seek further treatment for their mental health (Psychiatry, Psychology & Counselling) or other services in our specialties (Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics & Nutrition)
Camali Clinic will offer special rates and priority consultation
Billing will be based on pay and claim (reimbursement) following insurance coverage
Scope of Mental Health Training Services
Service Description: Camali Clinic will offer clinical staff to conduct on-site workshop(s) and/or awareness sessions (online webinar can be arranged) to office-based employees; to build a shared understanding of mental health and provide employees with:
- A range of practical tools and techniques to create a supportive climate, role model best practice and lead positive conversations about mental health
- A clear awareness and understanding of what mental wellbeing is, the early warning signs and symptoms of a dip in mental wellbeing and how they can respond effectively to minimize the risk of a mental health episode.
- Confidence to offer appropriate and valuable first aid to people suffering from mental distress in the workplace and in the community.

Topic 1: Mental Health First Aid

Brief Overview: Mental Health First Aid is a training for individuals and organizations whose aim is to provide them with the skills to identify and assist someone who is developing a mental health challenge or is experiencing a mental health crisis such as: Depression, anxiety, panic attacks or the after-effects of trauma or bereavement. In the Mental Health First Aid training, you learn the risk factors, warning signs, and strategies to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help. In addition, the presentation introduces people to risk factors and warning signs and builds an understanding on their impact and provides an overview of common treatments.

Topic 3: Dealing with Isolation

Brief Overview: Positive social connections are essential for our mental health and can help us cope in times of stress. In the current crisis, whether you are quarantined due to suspected exposure, staying home because you are in a high-risk category, or at home to help prevent the spread of infection, staying at home with limited human contact can have a significant impact on our mental well-being – and in particular, feelings of loneliness that will likely follow.
This workshop introduces people to tips and tools on how to cope with isolation and feelings of loneliness and how to maintain our social networks using available methods of communication during the corona virus pandemic.
Topic 2: Emotional Resilience: Maintaining or Regaining your Mental Health during and post Covid-19

Brief Overview:
Stress reactions caused by the COVID-19 virus outbreak or other triggers in life, can affect your health, quality of life, and wellbeing. So, what can we do to manage these multiple sources of uncertainty and stress?
- Identifying, understanding and accepting (sources of) stress
- Monitoring physical health and wellbeing
- Cognitive restructuring
- Progressive muscle relaxation
- Problem solving and conflict resolution
- Managing sleep problems
This is a stressful time for all of us, but by tempering expectations of yourself and those around you, and finding ways to manage the stress, we can get through this.
Group Therapy

Introduction and Objectives
- Living through a world crisis as we all are now with COVID-19 can exacerbate difficulties that we may have been experiencing for some time. Group therapy can aid in providing relief and effective ways to cope with these difficulties.
- The purpose of group therapy is to give group members a chance to connect and share their feelings, emotions and experiences. A few of the key factors to group therapy are confidentiality and commitment to attendance, along with maintaining anonymity for the effectiveness of group process.
- Furthermore, it allows group members to receive support and encouragement from other members of the group and to help them feel less alone or isolated.
- It provides an opportunity for group members to act as role models for other members. Some members may be more successful at managing certain types of problems and so people can share their experiences and learn from each other.
- It aims at providing a safe environment for group members to practice new behaviors without fear of judgement.

The group facilitator will provide psychoeducation and allow for the processing of the information presented. The topics discussed in group therapy will depend on the focus of the group , some proposed ones include:
- Physical health: sleep hygiene, how to address emotional eating, barriers to exercise
- Emotional health: healthy coping, identifying and combating feelings of anxiety, identifying and addressing feelings of sadness, identifying triggers and emotions and their impact on your body
- Coping with change: negative thinking patterns, relaxation techniques and mindfulness, problem solving techniques
- Interpersonal difficulties: communication skills, assertiveness, conflict management , healthy boundaries
- Social influences: media influence, shifting your life online price
Support Groups
Introduction and Objectives
- Support groups can aid in providing relief and effective ways to cope with these difficulties by supporting one another through this difficult time.
- The purpose of a support group is to provide people with a support network, and a reminder that they are not alone. Meeting with likeminded people who have had similar experiences can help individuals to cope with their own struggles by seeing the ways other cope with theirs. Support groups help participants to identify healthy coping techniques and, with the support of others, helps them to move forward on their path or with their lives in general.
- In a support group, regular attendance is not mandatory nor expected, minimal commitment is required, and the group composition may be very different from week to week. Group size is usually rather small, but it fluctuates, and may be bigger for some sessions than others.
- Support group facilitators will keep the group organized and the conversation moving forward and will seek out themes to help steer the group in a cohesive direction together.
- The topics discussed in support groups will depend on the focus of the group and may be similar to the topics proposed earlier with group but would be less structured and more focused group connection and supporting each other.
