ELIJAH OKALL

Elijah is an Occupational Therapist with over 10 years expertise in medical rehabilitation, passionate about special needs children and their families. After graduation in 2009, Elijah worked for the ‘Association for the Physical Disabled of Kenya’ a Charitable NGO whose services were modelled through a 3-tier service provision model of Community Outreach, Community Rehabilitation and Static Clinics. He later ventured into private practice with Personalized Therapy Clinic of which he was the Founder and Lead Therapist.

He moved to Dubai in 2015 and has been working for both private outpatient rehabilitation clinics and inpatient specialty hospitals. This include Dr. Majdi El Halik Physical and Mental Rehabilitation Center in which he rose to the position of Head of Unit-Rehabilitation Department, Senior Occupational Therapist in Autism Rocks Resource Center and Occupational Therapist 1 at Aljalila Children’s Specialty Hospital which is a 200-bed modern acute care facility.

Main interest areas are early intervention, school readiness skills, learning support assistance, advising on classroom accommodations and supports for special needs children. He practices “Occupations” as a profession, equipping clients (children, adolescents and adults) with tools to participate in meaningful activities and live their lives to the fullest.
