Here, Lauren was inspired by her co-workers’ passion for education driven by research and applying the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. She completed her Master of Science in Education at Boston’s Simmons College in 2011 and became an Educational Coordinator at the centre. She pursued further education to better apply the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis in her field by enrolling at the Western New England University. She completed her coursework and passed the BCBA exam to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2014.
Lauren moved to Dubai in 2014 to continue her passion for educating children with autism using ABA techniques to make progress both academically and behaviorally. She began her work in Dubai as a school shadow, and home-based clinician was creating, modifying, and implementing school, home, and community programs for her client.
Lauren joined Dubai Healthcare City in September 2015 as a Senior Behavior Consultant and ABA Program Supervisor, to further develop herself professionally as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst while working in a multi-disciplinary healthcare setting. As a consultant and supervisor, she enjoys working with schools, families, and therapist to help create a dynamic learning environment that fosters both behaviour and academic success.
