Abir Ben Meftah is a dedicated ABA Therapist with three years of experience working with children and young people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. She began her career as a science teacher before pursuing specialized training to support individuals with determination. Abir became a Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) and went on to achieve certification as an International Behaviour Analyst (IBA), equipping her with the expertise to deliver evidence-based behavioural interventions that help clients reach their full potential. She is fluent in Arabic, French, and English, allowing her to support families from diverse backgrounds.
Abir’s therapeutic approach blends empathy with scientific precision. She builds strong, trusting relationships with clients and their families by listening carefully to their unique needs, strengths, and goals. She believes that every behaviour has a purpose, and by understanding what a client is trying to communicate, she can help teach more effective and socially appropriate skills. Her practice integrates evidence-based methodologies, including positive reinforcement, discrete trial training (DTT), and natural environment teaching (NET), ensuring that interventions are tailored to each child’s circumstances and interests.
Abir’s guiding philosophy is that behaviour is a form of communication, and her role is to translate that into meaningful growth, independence, and improved quality of life.
Abir works primarily with children, offering direct one-on-one therapy to address a wide range of developmental and behavioural needs, including:
