PTSD Therapy for Children - Camali Clinic

About Service

Making Lives Better

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can develop in children and adolescents following exposure to a traumatic event such as an accident, natural disaster, violence, abuse, or the sudden loss of a loved one. At Camali Clinic, our trained therapists provide specialist trauma-focused treatment in a safe, structured environment, helping young people process their experiences and reclaim their lives.

Who needs it?

Children and adolescents who have been exposed to a traumatic event and are experiencing persistent intrusive symptoms, avoidance, negative changes in thinking or mood, and/or heightened reactivity that are impairing daily functioning.

Specific FAQS

1.

Do children have to talk in detail about what happened?

Trauma therapy is paced carefully and the child is never pushed to share more than they are ready for. Stabilisation comes first, and the pace of processing is always led by the child's readiness.
