Nancy Najm

Nancy Najm is a highly experienced Speech and Language Therapist with almost 20 years of clinical and community-based practice. She has worked extensively with children across schools, clinics, and mental health programs. Her experience spans multiple countries, allowing her to bring a diverse, culturally informed perspective to her work.

Nancy holds a Degree in Speech and Language Therapy from the Lebanese University, Faculty of Public Health, and a Master of Science in Mental Health Policies and Services from Nova Medical School, Lisbon. She has completed advanced professional certifications, including training in the Lidcombe Program, Hanen Centre’s More Than Words®, PECS®, and The Management of Stuttering from the Michael Palin Centre in London.

Throughout her career, Nancy has combined her expertise in speech and language therapy with a passion for mental health. She developed the Mental Health Policy and Strategy for refugee communities in Lebanon and contributed to community-based rehabilitation initiatives to enhance therapy accessibility in under-resourced areas. Her work reflects a strong commitment to improving the wellbeing of children and families through sustainable, evidence-based practices.

Nancy’s therapeutic approach is holistic, family-centered, and rooted in empathy and collaboration. Fluent in Arabic, English, and French, and conversational in German, she offers a multicultural and flexible perspective that values each child’s unique strengths and family journey. She strives to create a supportive environment where children feel empowered to communicate, grow, and thrive.

Nancy’s therapy approach is rooted in the belief that all children learn best when we presume competence. I support communication by creating environments where abilities are assumed, strengths are highlighted, and opportunities to connect are always accessible.
