Tarek is a distinguished alumnus of the Faculty of Public Health at the Lebanese University, where he graduated in 2006. His professional journey encompasses extensive clinical experience accrued through his practice in various sectors, including institutional, hospital, and private settings. His expertise lies in treating a broad spectrum of conditions, such as communication disorders, developmental language disorders, learning disorders, stuttering, aphasia, and dysphagia. A unique aspect of Tarek’s practice is his particular focus on Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) within the context of Mental Health.

Tarek’s leadership skills are evident from his tenure as the President of the Lebanese Speech-Language Association from 2017 to 2022. Further cementing his prominence in the field, Tarek also took on the role of chair for both the scientific and steering committees at the 4th International Language Convention, held in Beirut in 2018. His commitment to professional development and research is further demonstrated by his participation in several committees at various symposia and conferences, including the 3rd International Language Convention in 2015 and the Voice Symposium in 2017, 2018, and 2019. Additionally, he was part of the Annual Mental Health Conference in 2018 and 2019.
