Questions about this service
Adult OT helps people who have difficulties in everyday activities due to cognitive or emotional problems. An occupational therapist will examine the issues affecting your ability to perform everyday tasks and come up with a solution that lets you do them safely. The therapist will then work with you to help you achieve this.
Physiotherapists generally help patients improve movement, control, and reduce pain. An occupational therapist helps people find ways to do things like getting dressed, preparing food, working or driving despite physical or psychological barriers.
It depends on your condition. We will aim to help you achieve what you want and need, but after your assessment we will be able to give you a more precise idea. You will normally have a detailed treatment plan with an approximate number of sessions and we will review.
